OVERVIEW

Head Venturi 95 Powder Mens Skis 181cm with Adrenalin 13 Bindings Black/White - DEMO

Retail: $949.99

Head's Venturi 95 skis are the narrowest of the main powder lineup from Head for this season. This ski is the classic "do-it-all" great for east coast skiers who love to hop off trail and west coast skiers that want the maneuverability of a narrow (er) ski. These have a 16m turn radius at the 181 length which is insanely tight for a ski that long! The side-cut and TNT rocker with the elastomer TTS in the tip and tail make this ski a quick turning, powder munching machine! JC

These are Head "DEMO" grade skis. Please see our Ski Evaluation Guide for details.

FEATURES:

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound- If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.
Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.
Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.
UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.
Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from each other. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.
Tail Rocker: Just like Tip rocker, but in the tail, this feature allows the tails of the skis to release easier from the turn to give the skier the ability to turn the skis quicker in tight spots. It also allows skiers to dump speed by forcing the tails out and sliding sideways. The effective edge is reduced because of the tail rocker, so the skis will also be easier to control when forced to ski on the groomed slopes.
Extra Durable ABS Sidewalls: Because extra durability is never bad, right?
3 Choice Mount Position: The three choices are as follows. Park Mount is where the bindings are closer to dead center on the ski and is best for freeride skiers who want to ski switch a lot of the time. Manufacturer's mount is where the makers of the ski recommend you mount the bindings (usually between park and powder mount). Finally Powder mount is the furthest back on the ski which allows for more tip length and float in powder. If you wish to get more technical on where we mount your skis, please contact customer service.
ISS Independent Suspension System: Elastomeric vibration killers located in the tip, tail and underfoot. The elastomer quiet the vibrations that are commonly associated with rockered skis. Underfoot, the vibrations are dampened to provide the skier with a smooth ride.
TNT Rocker: Tip and tail rocker combined with regular camber underfoot. This combination creates a surfy feel in powder while maintaining hard snow versatility. 40% Rocker, 60% Camber.
TTS Technology: A stabilizing layer in the ski that dampens vibrations normally felt from rockered tips and tails. This unique feature to Head also adds torsional stiffness and increases performance in everything from crud to hard snow.

Q & A

Q : How long will it take to get a pair of skis to the East Coast?

A: We generally ship new skis the day after we receive notification of your payment. Travel time through UPS ground service is 7 to 10 days to the East Coast. Used skis will generally ship the next day too. However, it may take up to three days to process the skis through our tune shop during the peak season from November 15 through January 31. If you need expedited delivery please contact us prior to making your purchase to see if we can meet your delivery date.

Q: I purchased a product and have not received a tracking number. When will I receive this number?

A: The tracking number is sent to the email address you provided during checkout by UPS the evening your package is pick-up from our warehouse. New products are generally shipped the day after we receive notification of your payment. Purchases made Friday after 12:00 pm through Sunday evening will be shipped on Monday. Used skis and snowboards may take up to three business days to ship due to the necessary preparation in our tune shop. Please, check your junk email folder before calling us for your tracking number.

Q : How come you cannot ship my product by the Postal Service to my international destination at a cheaper rate?

A: Many of our products such as skis, snowboards, snowboard packages, wakeboards, wake surf boards etc. are too large to be handled by the U.S.P.S. Many of these restrictions are imposed by your country's postal service. Please, contact us for a shipping quote before purchasing any large product.

Q : How do I obtain a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number?

A: Give us a call at 1-509-663-5255 Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm PST (Pacific Standard time.)

Q : Can you set the DIN on my skis before you ship them to me?

A: Unfortunately, no, this is a safety issue. We highly recommend that you take your skis to a licensed ski technician to have the DIN set and the bindings sized to your boots.

Q : My skis or snowboard has a thick wax on the base. Are they ready for me to go down the mountain?

A: No. We sometimes apply a storage wax to the bases of the skis and snowboards to protect them during transportation. Simply scrap the wax with a hard plastic edge (such as an ice scraper) until the bases are smooth. This only takes a few minutes to accomplish. Do not allow someone to tell you the skis need to be waxed again.
